This layer displays Urgent Drinking Water Needs projects due to drought, contamination, or other eligible emergencies. This includes projects approved for funding from July 1, 2014 to May 22, 2024, including both active and completed projects. The data comes from the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Cleanup and Abatement Account’s (CAA) project database and was exported on May 22, 2024. The attributes for each project in the UDWN_Projects layer include the recipient of grant funding (Grantee), Community served, type of project, grant amount, funding program, date the project was approved, date the project was completed, Disadvantaged Community status, Small Disadvantaged Community status, the Public water system number, current status of the project (Active or Completed), and the State fiscal year in which the project was approved.
