<p>The visualization explains the working and background of the planispheric astrolabe and allows users to experiment with it by adjusting rete and index. The visualisation is created using images from an astrolabe by Michiel Coignet in 1601 in Antwerp, preserved at Museum Boerhaave in Leiden.</p><p>This is an archival copy of a visualisation that is created to support publications by Brill publishers. They can be accessed via Brill (see relations).<br>Please contact DANS if the visualisation is no longer available via Brill.</p>
