Characterisation of mesenchymal stromal cells in the skin of Atlantic salmon

We have characterised transcription in fish mesenchymal stromal using spatial transcriptomics (10x Genomics Visium), elucidating differentiation pathways leading to different osteogenic and fibroblast lineages in the skin of Atlantic salmon. This research not only provides valuable insights into the practical aspects of stromal cells in non-healing wounds but also paves the way for advancing our understanding of the role that these stem cells play in tissue regeneration.
