Reuptake of GABA

Reuptake of GABA from the synapse terminates the action of GABA thus regulating GABA action. GABA taken up from the synapse into the neurons is reused for synaptic loading. GABA taken up by astrocytes is degraded into C02 and glutamine. Glutamine is transported into the neurons for glutamate and GABA synthesis.

GABA（γ-氨基丁酸）在突触中的重摄取终止了其作用，从而调节了GABA的神经传递。从突触中被摄取进入神经元的GABA，在神经元内被重复利用以供突触再装载。由星形胶质细胞摄取的GABA则被降解为二氧化碳和谷氨酰胺。谷氨酰胺随后被转运至神经元，用于谷氨酸和GABA的合成。
