J. 495, 2024, 153518.</i><b>Authors and Affiliations</b>Adam Kubiak and Michał Cegłowski from the Faculty of Chemistry at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland.<b>Data Collection Dates</b>Real-world hospital wastewater samples were collected on four dates: February 2, February 15, March 4, and April 13, 2024.<b>Methodology and Tools</b>The study involved synthesizing a carbon sponge-basedTiO2​ photocatalyst via a hydrothermal process. This material was analyzed using various methods, including SEM, XRD, XPS, and FTIR spectroscopy. A custom-built, continuous-flow cascade reactor with LED lighting was used for the experiments. Sulfamethoxazole (SMX) concentration was measured with an HPLC system, degradation byproducts were identified with ESI-MS, and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) was determined with a photometer.<b>Funding Information</b>This research was funded by the <b>National Science Centre of Poland</b> under project number <b>2021/43/D/ST5/01190</b>.
