Transcriptomic analysis of MaGti1-mediated conidiation regulation in Metarhizium acridum

Metarhizium acridum is an entomopathogenic fungus that produces both aerial conidia and blastospores. The transcription factor MaGti1, a member of the Gti1/Pac2 family, plays a critical role in regulating conidiation pattern transformation and conidial germination. However, the molecular mechanism by which MaGti1 controls the switch between conidiation modes remains unclear. In this study, RNA samples from wild-type (WT) and DeltaMaGti1 strains cultured for 12 hours were subjected to transcriptome sequencing. Comparative analysis of differentially expressed genes provides insights into the MaGti1-regulated gene network underlying conidiation pattern transformation in M. acridum.
