Identification of Gut Microbiota Affecting Pullorum in Chickens

Pullorum disease is one of the common bacterial infectious diseases caused by Salmonella Pullorum (S. Pullorum), which can result in considerable economic damage. Research of antibiotic alternatives is developmental tendency in poultry industry. Therefore, gut microbiota make chickens less susceptible to infection with S. Pullorum in the same environment need further investigation. This study was to identify gut microbiota associated with S. Pullorum in poultry.
