The Information S1 provides a schematic structure of the tether lipid, HC18; the procedure used to calibrate the custom-made SPR instrument; the procedure used to estimate Kd ranges from insufficient SPR data sets; and the full sets of neutron reflectivity data measured for the various systems that have been investigated, as well as the derived nSLD profiles.
