This dataset contains statistical records of the 2002 project progress for each province (municipality directly under the Central Government, autonomous region) within the Beijing-Tianjin Sandstorm Source Control (BTSSC) Project zone. The recorded items include: provinces (municipalities directly under the Central Government, autonomous regions), administrative division codes, counties (districts, county-level cities), total area of the project zone, planned treatment area, total completed area of barren hills, sandy wastelands and barren lands, completed manual afforestation on barren hills, sandy wastelands and barren lands, completed air-seeding afforestation on such barren lands, completed forest enclosure, converted farmland afforestation under the Grain for Green Project, afforestation on barren hills, sandy wastelands and barren lands under the Grain for Green Project, arbor, shrub and grass species, afforestation with qualified survival rate, afforestation with survival rate below 41%, average afforestation survival rate, completed grassland treatment, completed water source projects, completed water-saving irrigation works, completed small watershed management, completed confined feeding and grazing ban, and completed ecological resettlement.

The BTSSC Project covers 75 counties (municipalities) across Beijing, Tianjin, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Shanxi Province, Hebei Province and other relevant provincial-level administrative regions. This dataset introduces the project's basic information from the perspectives of its scope and content, guiding ideology, key points and layout, as well as future construction plans, and compiles statistical data of regional project construction achievements to reflect the overall progress of the project.
