The Idaho Transportation Department's (ITD) Roads and Highways Road Network Linear Referencing System (LRS) damaged assets event polyline feature class represents any transportation infrastructure or equipment that has been harmed, deteriorated, or destroyed, reducing its ability to function safely or effectively. This can include: Roadway damage - potholes, pavement failures, rutting, shoulder erosion Bridges and structures - cracks, spalling concrete, corrosion, impact damage Traffic systems - broken signals, damaged signs, guardrails, lighting, ITS equipment Drainage and roadside features - clogged culverts, washed-out ditches, failed retaining walls Maintenance and fleet equipment - damaged snowplows, trucks, or tools Pathways and multimodal facilities - damaged sidewalks, bike lanes, or transit stops These assets often need inspection, repair, or replacement to maintain safety and mobility across the state’s transportation network.
