Population genomics of Corydalis filistipes utilizing genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS)

Corydalis filistipes (Papaveraceae; Fumarioideae) is a spring ephemeral herb endemic to Ulleung Island, Korea, and is assessed as threatened due to its small population sizes and restricted range on this island. Implementation of conservation programs for C. filistipes can contribute to both island biodiversity on Ulleung Island and species richness of the genus Corydalis. Through genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS), we aimed to illustrate the genetic diversity and structure of 11 C. filistipes populations at the genomic scale, which can help design conservation programs. This project provides essential insights into the population and conservation genomics of C. filistipes, and contributes to our understanding of the evolutionary dynamics of highly threatened island-endemic plant species.
