ACORN-SAT v1 Australian Climate Observations Reference Network - Surface Air Temperature (1910 - Nov 2018) [now superceded]

This "ACORN-SAT v1" dataset comprises a consistent - or homogeneous - daily temperature record for 1910 to 2011, for 112 observation locations across Australia. When published in 2012, the dataset employed the latest analysis techniques and took advantage of digitised observational data to provide a daily record of Australian temperatures over 100 years. Climatologists have carefully analysed input data to find any evidence of spurious artefacts in the data, which introduce changes over time that are not related to climate variability. Homogenisation methods also take into account the impact of technology changes on the consistency of the data over time. This ACORN-SAT v1 dataset (to 2018) includes a) the original ACORN-SAT v1 (1910-2011) dataset, where data had been homogenised relative to 2011; and b) for 2012 to Nov.2018, the most recent (as at 2019-01) data values from Climate Data Online.
