A compositional change in exomiRs during normal fibroblast to cancer-associated fibroblast transition.

To understand the role of stromal exomiRs on tumor progression, the count values of exomiRs was compared between the normal and cancer-associated fibroblasts derived from an invasive ductal carcinoma patient. Cancer-associated fibroblasts were isolated from the tumor tissue of an invasive ductal carcinoma patient. Normal fibroblasts were isolated from the stromal tissue 10 mm away from the margin of the tumor tissue. Microarray was performed in triplicates with separately prepared samples.
