It is known that administration of MCD induces a severe state of hepatic fibrosis in mice. To attempt to elucidate molecular mechanism of hepatic fibrosis, we performed whole transcriptome analysis by microarray using RNAs prepared from liver of wild-type mice fed with normal diet (ND) or MCD. RNAs were prepared from liver of wild-type male C57BL/6J mice fed with ND or MCD. Single-stranded cDNAs derived from the RNAs were hybridized with a Mouse Gene 2.1 ST Array Strip (ThermoFisher Scientific). The array was scanned by the GeneAtlas system (Affymetrix) to measure the intensities of the microarray spots.
