资源简介:
The five-pacer viper (Deinagkistrodon acutus) is a venomous snake living in Southern China, characterized by a triangular head and upturned rostral. Its venom, as a potent hemotoxin that is strongly hemorrhagic, is dangerous for people and is a potential medicine for thrombosis. It is also an excellent model for limb development, sex chromosome evolution and venom evolution et al. Sequencing the D. acutus genome and comparing it with other closely related species within Squamata will reveal numerous insights into the biology of this remarkable animal.
