资源简介:
The bacterium Clostridium sp. M2/40 is a mesophilic, anaerobic bacterium isolated from a two-phase lab-scale biogas reactor continuously fed with maize silage and 5% wheat straw. Grown on glucose it produced H2, CO2, formiate, lactate and propionate as the main fermentation products, of which some compounds can directly be used by Archaea to form methane. Here, the draft genome of the organism consisting of one circular chromosome and one 688 Kb chromid is reported, which provides the genetic basis for further investigations of the physiological potential of the bacterium and its role in biomass degradation.
