Dwelling Age Statistics by Block Group, Residential Properties, 2005, MSA

Dwelling Age statistics for residential properties based on the Assessors and Taxation (A and T) Database from the 2004 edition of Maryland Property View (contains records for properties built in 2005). Residential dwellings were identified using the land use field (LU) in the Aamp;T Database and included: commercial condominium (CC), commercial residential (CR), apartments (M), residential (R), residential commercial (RC), town house (TH), and residential condominium (U). Dwelling age was calculated by subtracting the year built (YEARBLT) in the A&T Database from 2005. Statistics include median, mean, minimum, maximum, standard deviation, along with the number of observations for each block group and the percent of these observations that were valid. Only valid observations were used to compute statistics. This is part of a collection of 221 Baltimore Ecosystem Study metadata records that point to a geodatabase. The geodatabase is available online and is considerably large. Upon request, and under certain arrangements, it can be shipped on media, such as a usb hard drive. The geodatabase is roughly 51.4 Gb in size, consisting of 4,914 files in 160 folders. Although this metadata record and the others like it are not rich with attributes, it is nonetheless made available because the data that it represents could be indeed useful.
