Poetical extracts.

A collection of Persian poetry by different poets, the most prominent of whom are: Ṣâ’ib (died A.H. 1088), on fol. 1b, beginning: اگر نه مدّ بسم الله بود تاج عنوانها الخ, see No. 1606, 3 above; Ḳâsim Dîwâna (still alive A.H. 1136), on fol.57a; Mirzâ ‘Abd-alḳâdir Bîdil (died A.H. 1133), on ff. 77a and 97a (the first series of specimens is dated A.H. 1174=A.D. 1760, 1761); Nâṣir ‘Alî (died A.H. 1108), on fol. 108a; Fiṭrat (died A.H. 1106), on fol. 124a; Shaukat (died A.H. 1107), on fol. 146a (this part is dated A.H. 1173=A.D. 1759, 1760); Hilâlî (died A.H. 939), on fol. 160b; Kalîm (died A.H. 1062), on fol. 174a; Shaikh Muḥammad ‘Alî Ḥazîn (died A.H. 1180), on fol. 185a; Ṣaidî (Mîr Ṣaidî of Ṭahrân, died A.H. 1069), on fol. 193a, etc. The fly-leaves and a part of the margins are also filled with poetical specimens.
