Bolivia: number of overnight visitors in lodging businesses 2010-2020

In past years, Bolivia registered over two million domestic and internal guests staying in accommodation establishments annually. As of the third quarter of 2020, however, this type of businesses in the South American country only hosted approximately 486 thousand visitors. This drop is due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the global tourism sector. In those months, a 3-star hotel room in Bolivia cost around 40 U.S. dollars per day.
