DATA SET - Pilot Study of TLR-2 Expression from Exfoliated Colonocytes

Currently, diagnostics for intestinal tuberculosis, which depend on adaptive responses like delayed hypersensitivity or cytokine release by antigen-specific T cells, are inadequate for this challenge. Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR-2) is considered an important pattern recognition system for MTB. This study aimed to develop a noninvasive laboratory screening using TLR-2 biomarkers to diagnose ITB. We present data related to TLR-2 expression from exfoliated colonocytes in patients with healthy, ITB, and Non-ITB (pathology in colonoscopy and histopathology).
