The Supplemental Data dataset provides an in-depth overview of a biorefinery system that processes 89.45 dry metric tons of oat bran per day into value-added products such as xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) of varying purities, crystalline and syrup forms of D-xylose, lignin oil, and cellulose microfibers. It also includes an alternative configuration featuring a combined heat and power (CHP) system that generates electricity and steam from residual biomass. The dataset encompasses detailed process descriptions for feedstock handling, pretreatment, enzymatic hydrolysis, purification, and product recovery. It includes life cycle inventory (LCI) data adapted from the Ecoinvent database, techno-economic assumptions, capital and operational costs, and system-wide mass and energy balances. Additionally, it presents comparative environmental impact assessments using TRACI indicators and global warming potential (GWP) values for both the baseline and CHP scenarios. This comprehensive dataset supports both techno-economic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) of biorefinery pathways for sustainable biochemical production.
