We report the 3.7 and 4.2 Mbases genome sequences of Xenorhabdus poinarii strain G6 and Xenorhabdus doucetiae strain FRM16, respectively. They are Gram negative bacteria, symbionts of the entomopathogenic nematode of the Steinernema glaseri and Steinernema diaprepesi species, respectively. In the Xenorhabdus phylogeny, they are closely related. By direct injection into insect haemolymph, the two bacterial strains present differential pathogenic behaviour.
