The nematode Pristionchus exspectatus is the closest known sister species of the model organism Pristionchus pacificus. To improve the quality of the P. exspectatus draft genome (Rödelsperger et al. 2014), we have resequenced an inbred strain RS5522B on the PacBio platform and combine this data with Hi-C and linkage information to derive a chromosome-scale assembly. This will invaluable for future comparative genomic studies.
