VPRS 4058 General Press Cuttings (Fisheries and Wildlife Division)

This series consists of a volumes containing newspaper clippings pertaining to areas of interest as maintained by the Fisheries and Wildlife Division of the Chief Secretary's Department.Clippings appear to have been identified by a newspaper clipping service from newspapers published within Victoria. Individual clippings relate to all manner of fauna/wildlife, fisheries or other matter relevant to the agency in Victoria, Australia or, on some occasions, overseas. The publication and date of publication of each clipping is identified. There are no indexes to the clippings in these volumes.Three other series of clippings have also been transferred from this agency. These are:- VPRS 4057 Fauna Press Clippings (1958 - 1961)- VPRS 4059 Fisheries Press Clippings ((1961 - 1971), and- VPRS 4060 Wildlife Press Clippings (1961 - 1970).The volumes in the series ceased at the end of 1971. A file of clippings from 1976-1977 has also been included although it could be that the file may originally have been maintained within the Division's filing system (VPRS 12011).
