reconstructed land cover dataset of China

A continuous land cover dataset of China (RecLCDC) spanning from 1985 to 2021 was reconstructed. The reconstruction was conducted by integrating 22 30m-resolution satellite datasets and 4 10m-resolution datasets with three latest sets of national survey data (National Forest Inventory, National Land Survey and Land Use Change Survey). RecLCDC contains 7 basic land cover types (water, barren, built-up, forest, shrubland, cropland, others) with high overall accuracy (89%). The dataset takes the advantages of satellite observation and statistical records, providing a reliable and statistics-consistent representation of land cover in China. The original data is aggregated to 10 km, and 7 layers, with each layer presenting the fractions of corresponding land cover type.
