资源简介:
These are photos of food fishery (a version of subsistence fishery) among the Kwikwsutnuxw tribe of the Kwakwaka'wakw people, one of the First nations on the North Pacific coast of Canada. Targets are prawns, crabs, and halibuts, caught by a gear called a "long liner" from a seine boat. Clan chief skippered this boat and his sons and friends were deckhands (8 persons were on board and 6 of them worked). Location was on the water around the Gilford Island and the Village Island, which has been a territory of this tribe.
