NRS-16440 | Minutes [University of Newcastle - ad hoc Committees of Senate]

This series consists of a single binder-volume of the original Minutes of various committees set up by, or under the aegis of, the first Senate of the University of Newcastle. The committees represented here were twenty-eight in number. The purpose of most of them was to address single issues pertaining to particular occasions or specific stages in the development of the University. Most of these committees were in existence for less than one year; the only one to last for more than four years was the Computer Users’ Committee, which endured from 1976 until 1989.
