1D Simulation Data for Paper "The Impact of MHD-scale Field Line Resonances on Ionospheric Ion Upflows"
收藏资源简介:
The two IDL save files provide the data used to produce Figure 3. bkg_newtoppara.sav contains the altitude-dependent background profiles of O⁺ density, electron density, electron temperature, and ion temperature for panels (a) and (b), as well as the simulated upper-boundary O⁺ upflow velocity, density, and flux for panels (c)–(e). Density values are scaled by \(10^4\) or \(10^3\) as indicated by the corresponding axes, and the flux is scaled by \(10^6\) to display units of \(10^8\ \mathrm{cm^{-2}\ s^{-1}}\). Analyt_sol_Flxupp.sav contains the analytical, normalized upper-boundary flux response as a function of time; its time array is in seconds and should be converted to minutes. This solution is scaled by the prescribed asymptotic fluxes, \(F_0=2.70\times10^8\) and \(2.23\times10^8\ \mathrm{cm^{-2}\ s^{-1}}\), representing the solid and dashed cases, respectively.
