Biodiversity Loss & Species Extinction

<p>I am researching biodiversity loss, which refers to the decline in species, ecosystems, and genetic diversity on Earth. It is the decrease in biodiversity within a species, an ecosystem, a given geographical area or Earth as a whole. This loss in the variety of life can lead to a breakdown in the functioning of the ecoystem where decline has happened. </p><p>Natural Biodiversity Loss: Seasonal changes such as the onset of spring creates opportunities for breeding and feeding which increase biodiversity as the population of many species rise. In the winter, there is a temporary decresase of an area biodiversity as warm adapted insects die and migration occurs. </p><p>Human Driven Biodiversity Loss: Due to humans, there is a massive conversion of forests, wetlands, grasslands and other terrestrial ecosystems has produced a 60% decline in the number of species vertebrates. Agriculture have normally been the main use of land that is normally used for grazing by cattle, sheep, goats and other livestock. </p>
