WayShare: Demonstration Dataset for a Carpooling and Ride-Sharing Platform

This dataset is associated with WayShare, a web-based carpooling and ride-sharing platform developed as part of the BCSE355L – Cloud Architecture Design course at VIT Chennai. The dataset contains demonstration records representing the core data used by the application, including ride details, vehicle information, and ride preferences. Dataset Contents: rides.csv: Ride information, including ride type, source, destination, departure time, available seats, and contribution per seat. vehicles.csv: Vehicle information, including make, model, manufacturing year, colour, vehicle type, and seating capacity. ride_preferences.csv: Ride preferences such as air conditioning, smoking, pets, food, music, and luggage options. README.txt: Dataset description and additional information. The records are intended for demonstration and academic purposes. Any artificially generated records are synthetic and should not be interpreted as actual ride activity or real-world transportation statistics.
