Međujezik i aproksimativni sistemi / Interlanguage and Linguistic Approximative Systems

The embryo of the study INTERLANGUAGE AND APPROXIMATE SYSTEMS represents the idea to investigate the functioning of psycho-linguistic mental faculties of an individual who tends to realize communication in foreign language in a specific interlanguage approximate system. There are two communication requirements underlying any meaningful language task assigned to be accomplished. These are: a) formal-syntactic requirement; and b) functional-semantic requirement. Undisputed influence of mother tongue and certain knowledge degree of target language norms cause inadequate language production induced by the formal-syntactic requirement. In addition to this, the functional-semantic requirement is anticipated as an expression of a deeper, universal need for communication. As a part of latent and deep psychological structure, functional-semantic requirement tends to transmit information by the elimination of mother tongue influence, on the one hand, and by intuitive improvisation of the existing target language knowledge, on the other one. Insufficiency of that knowledge logically produces inadequate linguistic utterances. A presupposition of the existence of the functional-semantic requirement may nominate this question as a relevant object of research in Second Language Acquisition (SLA).
