This StoryMap describes an analysis undertaken to create spatial polygons representative of monitored areas in Idaho. Air quality monitors collect data on criteria air pollutants. Polygons that represent the monitored areas are needed for use in air quality forecasting and reporting. The polygons were created using Spatially Constrained Multivariate Clustering from inputs including PM2.5 24-hour design value background concentrations.
