In cases where the Hill coefficient (nH) is greater than one, (kcat/K1/2nH)(app) was also calculated. The units for (kcat/KmnH)(app) are µM−nH min−1 dividing by knE to determine (kcat/K1/2nH)(app)/knE (knE = 6.83±0.89×10−6 µM−1 min−1) results in µM to the power of the -nH+1 (µM−nh+1−). For this reason we can not calculate a ΔΔG(app.) for anything other than K14ac (nH = 1, ΔΔG(app.) = −9.3±0.08 kcal mol−1).
