资源简介:
In modern times, the media using the Decameron have exercised a negative cognitive influence, generating misunderstandings and overshadowing aspects of primary importance in Boccaccio's book. This has been achieved by separating the frame from the short stories and favoring those texts characterized by greater licentiousness. The COVID-19 pandemic has represented a turning point: the similarities between the fourteenth-century plague epidemic and the global spread of the virus, between the isolation of the brigade to escape the infection and the practices of social distancing during the lockdown, have encouraged the celebration of the conforting power of literature, a highlighted in the narrative frame. Among the numerous initiatives making use of the metaphor of the book, one of the most interesting is the Facebook group called DECAMERON – storie e antidoti per una buonanotte, which will be analyzed in the second part of the present work.
