AIS-Associated Sentinel-2 Image Patch Dataset for Ship Type Classification (2024-2022)

This dataset contains Sentinel-2 multi-spectral image patches associated with AIS vessel positions for ship type classification experiments. The dataset includes bands B2, B3, B4, and B8, vessel type labels derived from AIS records, and metadata describing acquisition date, geographic coordinates, and vessel class. Image patches were generated by spatially matching AIS records with cloud-free Sentinel-2 scenes (2024-2022). The dataset was prepared for convolutional neural network (CNN) based classification experiments. The dataset is provided for research and reproducibility purposes.
