Our research sought to describe adolescent girls’ perceptions and practices towards menstrual hygiene management (MHM), their financial burden, and their access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) facilities at secondary schools across Rwanda. Our findings provide strong evidence that Rwandese school girls, particularly those in rural disadvantaged schools, face obstacles to safe and dignified menstruation.
