This book served four functions. The first was as an Officers and Warders Report Book for the period 1888-1924. Information recorded includes the officer's rank; name; charge; date; by whom preferred; and decision.The second function was to record Stock Inventories for the period ?-1939. It comprises lists of stock at the Gaol, including an index.The third function was to record Prisoners' Earnings for the period 1947-1953. The figures were compiled each month. Information recorded included prisoners' names and daily earnings.The fourth function was to record Goods Received for the Prisoners' Canteen for the period 1953-1957. It records lists of goods and the quantity of each received.
