Calendar of surface wind circulation types on Svalbard obtained from cluster analysis of CARRA wind

This dataset represents a calendar of surface circulation types, identified using k-means cluster analysis of wind field data from the CARRA reanalysis. The file record order is as follows: year, month, day, hour (UTC), circulation type number (from 1 to 5), and circulation subtype number (from 1 to 3). The circulation types are as follows: 1 – calm wind or variable direction; 2 – southwesterly type; 3 – south-easterly type; 4 – northerly type; 5 – easterly type. The surface wind composite maps derived from the CARRA reanalysis for each type are presented in the article (Shestakova et al., 2026).
