This study generated transcriptome data of Pinus massoniana under three treatment conditions: Inoculation with the wild-type endophytic bacterium BM06, the engineered strain BM06-P60, or a sterile water control; Pretreatment with BM06, BM06-P60, or sterile water for 7 days followed by inoculation with Bursaphelenchus xylophilus for 48 hours; Pretreatment with BM06, BM06-P60, or sterile water for 7 days followed by nematode inoculation for 7 days.Stem tissues were collected at each condition for RNA sequencing to investigate the host transcriptional responses to bacterial inoculation and nematode infection, and to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying enhanced resistance mediated by the engineered strain BM06-P60.
