This dataset comprises time-series plots of water and sediment data for the main tributaries of the Yellow River, spanning the period from 1955 to 2015. Specifically, it includes 64 connected scatter plots, with two plots per hydrological station (one for annual runoff and one for annual sediment load), derived from 32 monitoring stations: 29 outlet stations of major first-order tributaries such as the Tao River, Huangshui River, and Zuli River, plus three additional stations including the Xiangtang Station of the Datong River (a tributary of the Huangshui River), the Tou Station of the Beiluo River (a tributary of the Wei River), and the Zhangjiashan Station of the Jing River. The horizontal axis of each plot represents time, while the vertical axis denotes either annual runoff or annual sediment load. This dataset is sourced from *Atlas of Spatiotemporal Patterns of Water and Sediment in the Yellow River (Second Edition)*, edited by Liu Baoyuan et al. and published by Science Press.
