This DesignSafe publication reports three-dimensional finite element model files used for simulating concrete block and clay brick masonry lap-splice tests with Grade 60 and Grade 80 deformed rebars associated with ASCE Structural Engineering Journal Paper entitled “Evaluating Lap-Splice Length Requirements for Grade 80 Deformed Bars in Structural Masonry”. The finite element models were developed using ATENA-GiD, which is required for users to be able to access the files included herein. The developed models have been calibrated with laboratory tests for capturing the lap-splice strength of Grade 60 and Grade 80 bars in concrete masonry and clay brick walls. The finite element models incorporate (a) calibrated constitutive stress-strain curves for concrete and clay brick grouted prisms; (b) calibrated interface bond stress-slip constitutive laws for simulating the interaction between masonry and reinforcing bars; and (c) stress-strain curves for Grade 60 and Grade 80 ASTM 615 and 706 rebars. The reported models in this DesignSafe publication, in part or as a whole, can be utilized for future simulations involving bond slip of rebars in concrete block or clay brick masonry.
