GeoLocator Data Package: Alpine swifts
收藏资源简介:
This GeoLocator Data Package contains raw and analyzed data from geolocators deployed on Alpine swifts (Tachymarptis melba melba) breeding in four countries: Switzerland (332 deployments), Turkey (191), Bulgaria (43), and Spain (20), covering the years 2014–2024 (586 deployments total). The majority of tags are multi-sensor GDL3pam loggers developed at the Swiss Ornithological Institute, recording light levels, atmospheric pressure, activity (z-axis acceleration), tri-axial magnetic field, and air temperature; a smaller number of earlier deployments used light-only loggers (GDL1, GDL2, GDL2v2). This data is currently in the process of being published in several research articles. The main publication associated with this data package is: Meier C. M., Karaardiç H., Aymí R., Peev S. G., Witvliet W., Liechti F. (2020). Population-specific adjustment of the annual cycle in a super-swift trans-Saharan migrant.
