PyMAUDE complete archive September 20, 2026

An archive of the complete PyMAUDE database, constructed from the FDA MAUDE MDR Data Files downloaded on September 20, 2026. The archive contains six tables (master, device, patient, device_problem, patient_problem, and text) covering 26.1 million medical device reports received from 1991 through 2026, exported as Parquet files. Also included are a checksum manifest recording the SHA256 hash, row count, and retrieval timestamp of each source file, and a tar bundle of the raw FDA source files as downloaded. The archive was generated by the archive() function of PyMAUDE and can be restored to a working DuckDB database using PyMAUDE's import functions (https://github.com/jhschwartz/PyMAUDE). Because the FDA revises MAUDE continuously and does not version its releases, this snapshot is provided so that analyses performed against it can be re-executed against the same data. The underlying medical device reports are published by the US Food and Drug Administration and are in the public domain. Users should note that MAUDE event narratives may contain residual indirect identifiers despite FDA redaction, and should handle the data in accordance with applicable institutional data governance policies.
