The problems of social and spatial transformation in Local Community Rakova Jelša in Ljubljana

Essential characteristics in social and spatial inconsistency are based upon the causes in structure of space, deriving from inconsistency among processes of industrialization and urbanization. To show systematically the investigated problem, we set our problem in the scope of previous theoretical and empirical results. In this manner, the proposed theory was in full congruence with the situation in the local community Rakova Jelša and illegal housing. Therefore firstly, formal housing system can not fulfill its function because of the utopistic nature under which the housing system is functioning and secondly, the cause of that is the parallel development of complementary informal housing praxis, which stimulates the illegal housing construction. But before we went straight to the main part of the research, we made preliminary interviews to get the overview of social climate. As we found out (as many times before), one of main causes of dysfunctional and unsuccessful spatial regulations is inconsideration of different spatial praxis. Purpose of this research - study case was not only to find out why legal housing system can not satisfy the housing needs of certain category of residents, but also to find out how to tackle with the problems of illegal housing construction as inevitable consequence of formal housing maintenance system. And besides that to introduce possible ways of solving this problem and at the same time find the way to cope with fast transformation of illegal housing system to legal housing maintenance.
