Welcome to the official documentation for the comprehensive repository of web-based bioinformatics resources developed in India. This repository was created to address the need for a centralized platform that compiles the diverse array of bioinformatics tools, databases, and software developed by Indian researchers, facilitating easier access and utilization by the global scientific community. However, these tools were often scattered across various institutional websites, making them difficult to locate. This repository serves as a "one-stop shop," categorizing these resources into logical domains to enhance discoverability and promote open-source drug discovery and biological research. Statistics of the Repository Total Resources: Over 600 unique bioinformatics web servers and databases. Categorization: Resources are classified into multiple categories such as Genomics, Proteomics, Systems Biology, and Drug Discovery. Institutions: Features contributions from premier Indian institutes including IIIT-Delhi, IMTECH, IISc, and various IITs. Key Features Categorized Resource Access Genomics: Tools for sequence analysis, genome annotation, and identifying functional elements like promoters or fragile sites. Proteomics: Resources for protein structure prediction, subcellular localization, and identifying post-translational modifications.
