Wild rice Oryza longistaminata is a member of O. sativa complex which contains an Asian cultivated rice O. sativa. It widely distributed in Africa, and has a tendency of self-incompatibility and a high outcrossing rate. In order to study genetic diversity of the species, we sequenced a total of eighteen O. longistaminata accessions by Illumina HiSeq 2500.
