In 1968 SIFA carried out a survey on public attitudes towards drugs. The survey "How Dangerous are Dangerous Substances? 1989" is a similar study, which aims to study possible changes in attitude towards drugs among the population in 1989. In 1989 the image of dangerous substances had changed. Heroin was now considered the most dangerous substance, followed by drugs like cocaine, amphetamines and cannabis. Furthermore the survey showed widespread support for a restrictive drug policy.
