The variables include pumas (puma kill vs. control), black bears (black bear present vs. absent), and the 4 seasons. The statistical significance and Akaike’s Information Criterion of each model is reported. Model variables: PUMA = puma carcass type (puma kill or puma control carcass), SEAS = season of year (winter, spring, summer, or autumn), BEAR = black bear carcass type (carcasses where black bear is present or carcass where black bear is absent).
