Transcriptome analysis of the ?YGP1 strain compared to its parental strain

We sought to understand the change in the global gene expression profile of the ?YGP1 strain in comparison with the BGL-6_Kl parental strain. The transcriptome analysis revealed the change in expression of genes involved in cell wall structure, biogenesis, and integrity that might contribute to the improvement of the BGL display efficiency phenotype. Overall design: RNA samples from two biological replicates of each yeast strain were prepared from 48-h cultured cells since it was the initial time point that the BGL activity on yeast cells of the BGL/ygp1? and BGL-6_Kl strains became apparently different.
