The RealWheat2023 dataset was established to investigate the transferability of OSNet within the same crop type but across years. The study area is situated at the Baima Experimental Station (119°18′71″E, 31°62′00″N) of Nanjing Agricultural University in China. The study area comprised 1260 cultivated plots, spanning the period from 2022 to 2023. The plots encompassed 210 distinct wheat cultivars, and each was replicated three times. Two different nitrogen fertilizer levels were applied: a control group at 240 kg/ha and an N deficiency group at 0 kg/ha. Each plot occupied an area of 1.25m × 1.5m and consisted of six rows of wheat, with a row spacing of 0.25m. The distance between each plot was uniformly maintained at 0.5m. The image data was collected using the DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone (SZ DJI Technology Co., Shenzhen, China) by carrying an RGB camera with a resolution of 5472 × 3648 pixels. The imagery data was collected weekly from February 14 to May 15, 2023, under clear skies and at low wind conditions. The flight parameters, data processing, and dataset construction methods were consistent with the RealWheat2021 dataset. Finally, the RealWheat2023 dataset was constructed with 69874 images.
